Kicking off the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival (30th May - 7th June), the museum is the place to be on Saturday where there will be performances, workshops and interactive play sessions all day. Check out the schedule here - it looks incredible, as always, with stuff to entertain all ages. How lucky are we top be able to attend something like this for zero pennies? Well done, Edinburgh!

Here’s an opportunity for children with additional support needs to experience Dynamic Earth with fewer visitors and reduced sensory stimulation. There will be additional accessibility resources available, including sensory bags, social stories, sensory maps and specially trained staff. Also a BSL interpreter will be at the 16.00 planetarium show.

Promising live Balkan beats from 9-piece band called BALKANOES! “This event will take place OVER TWO FLOORS! Head UPSTAIRS for arts & crafts, glitter & facepaints, seating and cosy play area. Head DOWNSTAIRS for live music, fire show, dance & circus, and for getting close and personal with our performers, having a go at their hoops, ribbons, juggling balls and all the other fun stuff (except for the fire breathing stuff, ahem)!”
