🍿 Inside Out (4y+) 10.00
📍 Dynamic Earth
Family cinema in Edinburgh’s only Planetarium! Plus it’s the last day to see the Euclid exhibition for free. We went to the Ocean Commotion soft play for the first time last week and the girls loved it. It’s a bit gloomy in a dark, windowless room but the play frame itself is a nice small size for little ones with a few tables to sit at where you can easily oversee all the action. Get your snacks at the cafe upstairs before heading down.
🖼 Family Print Club (6y+) 10.15/14.00 🐔
📍 Edinburgh Printmakers, Fountainbridge
Here’s another of Edinburgh Printmakers’ family sessions. This one will give a child and their grown-up an introduction to collage relief printmaking with wallpaper textures.
🍿 Up 11.00
📍 Filmhouse, Lothian Road
Tissues at the ready, people.
🪼 Edinburgh Zoo’s Giant Lanterns - Last Chance!

🧸 Pop Up Play 09.00-14.00 (Mon/Tue)🐣🐤🆓
📍 LifeCare Centre, Stockbridge
This cafe has a great free play area for under 5s every Monday and Tuesday with plenty of space for prams. Your baby/toddler gets to play and you can enjoy a well deserved coffee while supporting charity too. Win-win-win!
Tuesday 24th
🤱🏻 The Bonnie Sling Library 10.45-12.15 🐣🆓
📍 IKEA, Straiton
This is a monthly meetup in the restaurant at IKEA (sorry for shouting) where you can try out and hire various slings and baby carriers while enjoying a well deserved fika with some other parents. Bonus points to anyone able to walk directly up to the restaurant and back without buying any candles, houseplants or cushions.
🚴🏻 BMX Workshop! 18.30-20.30
📍 The Pitt, Granton
These sessions take place weekly but are booked as standalone events so great if you have a child wanting to try out BMX biking.
Wednesday 25th
⛔️ SOLD OUT! Magic Carpet Gaelic Week Special (0-5y) 10.30-11.15 🐣🐤🆓
📍 National Museum of Scotland, Chamber St
Celebrating Gaelic Week, here’s a wee session of stories, songs and rhymes in (Scottish) Gaelic. These sessions are usually booked in blocks of three (and just in English) and take place in various parts of the museum but this is a one-off.
Thursday 26th
🚶🏻♀️ Motherwalk 12.00-12.30 🐣🆓
📍 Middle Meadow Walk, The Meadows
Run by the Pregnancy and Parents Centre, this hour long, gentle walk is a great way to get some fresh air while making some new baby pals for your newborn.
🧱 Leith Lego Group (7-11y) 16.30-18.00 🐔
📍 Duncan Place Community Hub, Leith
A monthly meet up for kids who fancy building some LEGO creations while making new friends. Grown ups don’t need to stay and it’s only a pound.
✨ Here’s another week’s worth of fun stuff for my paid subscribers. This newsletter would literally not exist without you!
